If you rent privately
- From 2030, your landlord must bring the home up to EPC C, unless they register a valid exemption.
- In England, you can apply for the Warm Homes: Local Grant if your household is eligible. Your landlord must agree, and may need to contribute.
- Check your home’s rating on GOV.UK.
If you rent from a council or housing association
Upgrades come through your landlord. See social housing.
