What homeowners can get from the Warm Homes Plan depends mainly on your income, where you live and how your home is heated.

Lower income (usually £36,000 or less, in England)
Start with the Warm Homes: Local Grant. If your home is rated EPC D to G, your council may fund upgrades in full.
Any income
- Heat pump: the Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 off, or £9,000 if you’re off the gas grid on oil or LPG, until March 2027.
- Solar, batteries, heat pumps: a Warm Homes loan at low or 0% interest.
- Not sure what suits your home? GOV.UK’s free recommendations tool suggests improvements and costs.
Outside England
The loans are UK-wide, but grants differ. See Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
